Aurora

Aurora Aksnes born 15th June 1996 Stavanger is a Norwegian musician and songwriter. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves, released in May 2015 by Decca Records to great approval of music bloggers and the media. Half the World Away - by the Oasis - for John Lewis' Christmas ad as well as Nature Boy - by Nat King Cole have already been two covers worth noting that the singer has created. Katy Perry, who endorsed the tune Runaway with her voice, gave the song a boost of recognition. It was her birthday celebration. Aurora Aksnes first musical memory was finding a keyboard within her loft and being amazed by the music. Parents May-Britt and Jan Oystein Aksnes encouraged her to study music, not for a profession or a pastime, but as a way to develop. They inspired her to write. She is credited with Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen, along with Bjork as being her influences. Her mother encouraged her to perform her music publicly, not in order to be famous, but to let others know that they matter and how they can make a difference for the world. When she began playing the piano, she was only six and was writing her first song by the time she was nine. It was unknown to her family until she was fourteen. Aurora had no idea of becoming a star. According to her, she just loves writing music. She believes that music is the most effective way to feel anything.
